Republican Field for 2012 Is Stagnate

I am not overwhelmed by any candidate or potential candidates for the 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee.  I am waiting for someone to come forward who will excite me, excite the GOP base and excite independents.  Here is how I view some of the potential nominees.

Newt Gingrich
I am not excited by him anymore.  He has old idea's that do not excite anyone.  He is too conservative to excite indies.  He is too conservative to excite centrists in the Republican Party.

Mitt Romney
The GOP version of John "Flip Flop" Kerry.  Sure he will repeal Obama care.  Wait, didn't he have a version like Obama care that he championed when he was governor in Massachusetts?  I can see Obama's team going hard after him on that and all his other changes since he became a so-called conservative.

Tim Pawlenty
The nice guy who wants to be liked by everyone.  I do like him.  Not too conservative and yet not too moderate.  One problem is that he was so staunch in his position of no new taxes, he led Minnesota to a state of user fee's.  Sure he is against taxes but he failed to limit spending in Minnesota which has led to the state being in big trouble with the budget.

Sarah Palin/Michelle Bachmann
Which will want to wear the Prom Queen crown?  My guess is Michelle Bachmann.  I do not think Palin will run nor should she.  She showed how weak she was in policy in 2008.  Both women do excite the crowd, which is a positive.  My guess is that Bachmann will have early support but that will fall apart when she says something controversial, which she tends to do at times.

Herman Cain
Herman is the one that Democrats fear the most.  A black conservative.  How dare he?!!  Am I right?  Cain will be everything Obama is now.  A well-spoken black man.  Someone that you can throw away the race card which the Dem's hide in their recruiting of voter's.  Cain will be able to get the Indie's excited plus will be the one that can pull together a divided GOP.   Cain sends fear down the Limousine Liberals spine's because they know he can pull the black vote along with the Hispanic vote.   If he decides to run....look out world!

Say NO! To Mileage Taxes!!

Okay, so we have heard from several state governments and the Federal government about an idea to have a tax on miles driven.   Thanks to the left and their "clean fuel" with hybrids, etc, the state and federal government is taking in less tax on money spent at the pump.  SO because of this, they want to tax people who drive a hybrid for miles driven.  Hmmm....several thoughts jump to mind :

  1. I really think people are driving less because of the cost of gas.  I know I have changed my driving habits and think twice if I have to drive excessively than I did before.  I know I pay more at the pump but I go to the pump less than I did.
  2.   Big Brother will want to install tracking devices in your cars to monitor your mileage driven.  Great!  Wait, not great!  I live in Minnesota and live close to Wisconsin.  What if Minnesota passes this law, i drive a hybrid, but not 100% of the time in Minnesota.  Do I have to pay for miles driven out of Minnesota?
  3. Big Brother will be able to tell where I drive and how fast.  Who is to stop BB from being able to send me speeding tickets in the mail based on the computer recording how fast I drive?  What if I get lost driving and find myself near a known drug dealer.  Who is to say they will not dispatch vehicles looking for people in that area who are driving around?
  4. Do I have to pay for mileage if my car is stolen?
Okay say it passes...liberals are trying to make it hard for drivers.  This is geared towards mass transit.  Liberals literally want to tax you to death until you go the way they want you to go.  Tax on gas.  Tax on miles.  Tax on registrations.  Toll roads.  When will the taxes stop?  When will they let government get out of our lives?  NEVER!!!!!!

Seriously, Obama Pompousness Has Worn Out

He strides up to the podium placed in the hall of the White House.   He speaks.  He uses I throughtout the speech.   These actions show how much of a pompous ass Obama has become.

First, why use the hallway?  Speak to the world from the most important office in the free world.   Speak to the citizens of the United States and let them know that Public Enemy Number One was killed.  Speak to us like almost all the previous presidents before him spoke to Americans during a crisis or when important news was to be announced.   His ego just was too large for the Oval Office so it had to be taken out to the hallway.

Second, why state the obvious, that "I decided" to take him out.  YOU, Mr. President, had an obligation as the leader of the free-ist of all societies, to look out for America's interests.   But seriously, you knew it had to be done and the fact that you had to sleep on it and make a decision 16 hours after the fact tells us that you have no sense of what is right.  You had to come to grips with it yourself knowing if you did not give the approval to strike and take him down that once word leaked out you denied America of cleansing itself of this evil, you would not get re-elected.  That's right, you made the decision because you want to stay on as president after 2012.

Third, you should be ashamed you did not and would not give credit where credit is due.  You cannot find it in your heart to thank former President Bush that, well in fact, HIS decision on interrogation techniques, the Patriot Act, and The Bush Doctrine, gave your administration the facts needed to take out OBL.   You failed to acknowledge him so you could show that you are strong when we all know that your foreign policy is weak and that you are the president that will be known to lose the Middle East friendships that were built up for the past 50-60 years are going out the window.   Shameful you could not thank Mr. Bush.

Lastly, you need to go in 2012.  Yes, America is sick of your pompous attitude.

Once Again America Screws Up

Why is it that each time America has a natural disaster, the rest of the world sits back and watches us?

Case in point is the BP oil spill.   While BP and the government is trying to stop the oil from gushing out and also working on a plan to clean up the coast, our allies and neighbors do nothing to help?   Where are you Great Britain (after all they are called British Petroleum)?   Where are you Germany?   Where are you Canada?  Japan?  Latin America?  Africa?   France?  Ok you can stop laughing at France.

You get my point-they are watching us.  Sort of like driving by a car accident.  You gawk.  They gawk.  They are gawking and laughing at us.  Those countries love to watch us screw up and keep screwing up.   Now I will say that GW Bush screwed up with slow relief effort after Katrina.   His screw up is nothing like Obama's right now.  He feigns anger at the situation as he tries to socialize America.  He really does not care.  I feel for the people of Louisiana and Mississippi.  I was down there recently and the residents are down right pissed off at Obama and his administrations slower than snail's response rate.   Some talk radio down there even want to envoke State's Right's and do what is necessary to protect their wetlands since they are not getting any help from Obama.   State's Rights people!

I guess if I lived in another country I too would sit back and watch this massive screwup so that if it happened on my turf I would know not what to do.
